In May, a team of 18 rangers in three vehicles arrived in the Ewaso community for the second food drive initiative organized by LCCF Trustees Chip Duncan and Salim Amin. Upon arrival, women of the Lmutaro cluster were already lined up and waiting to receive one of the 500 bags of relief food brought for distribution. After handing out 100 bags to the Lmutaro cluster, an additional 320 bags were distributed to members of the Koija, Munishoi, Nosirai, and Ronkai clusters. The remaining 80 bags will go to the neediest members of the community.
All the communities were happy and very appreciative. Their message was that the food was very timely, and they sang songs of thanksgiving.
